One of his sons, Herman, moved to South Dakota and opened Rausch Monument Company in 1961, establishing a family legacy in the stone industry. This tradition continu
Four Generations Strong. We are a company that knows STONE. Our history began in the 1930s when our great grandfather, Valentine, was co-owner of a stone quarry in Minnesota. One of his sons, Herman, moved to South Dakota and opened Rausch Monument Company in 1961, establishing a family legacy in the stone industry. This tradition continued when Herman's oldest son, Chuck, assumed ownership of the company in 1985. In 2007, the family affair progressed as Chuck's sons, Tim and Greg Rausch, took ownership and expanded the business to include the fabrication of granite countertops in Rapid City, SD. Today, we proudly offer high-quality products, including Moda-Stone and other stunning options in our Moda Stone Rapid City collection.
